SKINCARE ROUTINE

Tuesday, 22 March 2016

After my last mammoth of a post, I thought I'd post something a little shorter and sweeter today! I'm really obsessed with skincare at the moment because the condition of my skin is a huge problem for me - I have a really dry nose, and lots of red patchy bits. In my quest to take better care of my skin, I've found a fair few products I love, so here they are!

I use all of these every night as usually in the mornings I'm just too busy (as I cannot get out of bed on time. Ever). I start off by removing my makeup with the Garnier Micellar Water for combination and oily skin. I've heard loads about this so wanted to try it out for myself. It's quite good, but I do feel like I'm using so much of it to get my makeup off.

Afterwards, I use the La Roche-Posay Serozinc toner for oily and blemish prone skin. Watching me spray this in my face is hilarious. I get really scared and jumpy. I hate having things splashed in my face! I really love La Roche-Posay though - definitely my favourite skincare brand, even if their stand at Boots is a little confusing.

Next, I use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar A.I, a targeted breakout corrector. I just squeeze a little on my finger and put wherever I have spots or tend to get them. It smells a bit funny, but it feels nice to put on.

Finally, I moisturise with Polaar Nuit Polaire night moisture cream, and Clinique eye cream on my eyes. In the mornings before my makeup, I use the Body Shop Vitamin E moisture cream.

As a side note, I also use Driclor most nights to stop my sweating during the day at all. It's kind of hell on Earth, but if you hate getting sweat patches (it's nothing to be embarrassed about), look into this!

Thanks for reading. What are your skincare faves?

  1. I love the original Garnier Micellar but after a lot of breakouts in one area, I'm tempted to try the comination skin one! Would you recommend it? x

  2. Hahahaha I can just imagine you spraying it in your face and jumping, I'd be same!! The La Roche-Posay products sound amazing, I need to try them! Atm my skincare is so easy I use a Simple face wash, a N07 cleanser, and Astral moisturizer, I wanna try Liz Earle so badly!

  3. La Roche-Posay never fail - the Effaclar Duo transformed my skin! I do wish they had more products suitable for other skin types though, as I have only seen things targeted for oily skin, whilst I have dry/acne-prone :(

  5. Didn't know Garnier had come out with a micellar water for combination skin. I've only seen the pink and blue capped bottles when it FINALLY came to the US. Garnier micellar water is a staple in my routine and I also like the Vitamin E cream at night!
